Purpose:
The Highlands County Hospital District was originally established on April 18, 1962 by Legislature. The District's purpose is to carry out all duties and responsibilities set out in chapter 2004-458 Florida Statute. This District covers all of Highlands County.

Members serve four-year terms
Meetings:
Meetings are held quarterly during the months of February, May, August, and November, on the fourth Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Board room of the Highlands County Government Center, 600 S. Commerce Ave., in Sebring. November's meeting is held on the third Thursday of the month, due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The next meeting will be held on Nov. 20.
