Highlands County Health Facilities Authority

Purpose:

The Highlands County Health Facilities Authority was established on July 3, 1979 in accordance with Chapter 154.207 of the Florida Statutes. 

The Authority, as authorized by Chapter 154.201-154.241 of the Florida Statutes, was created for the purpose of financing and refinancing projects for the public purposes described in and in the manner provided by Ordinance No. 79-3 of Highlands County and by Chapter 154.201-154.241 of the Florida Statutes and for the purpose of financing health facilities. The Authority assists health facilities in the acquisition, construction, financing and refinancing of projects.

MEMBERSHIP:

Appointed by the Board of County Commissioners

The Health Facilities Authority consists of five residents from Highlands County.

TERMS:

Members serve four-year terms

Meetings:

Meetings are held on an as needed basis.

The next meeting is at noon, Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, in the Sebring City Council Chambers at Sebring City Hall, 368 S. Commerce Ave.
