The division of Records Management is part of the County's Legal department and acts as the custodian of public records for Highlands County. Records Management is tasked with the coordination of the production of records in response to public records requests pursuant to Florida Statutes, Chapter 119. Records Management is responsible for efficient and systematic control over the production, receipt, maintenance, use and disposition of records, including processes for capturing and maintaining records made or received in connection with official business activities of the Highlands County Board of County Commissioners and its departments.
