Human Resources is committed to providing Highlands County citizens with a diverse, competent, well-trained and professional workforce. 

Human Resources is responsible for the policies, programs and procedures that enable each Board department to meet their service delivery responsibilities. Human Resources staff oversee all personnel matters, including hiring, training, personnel issues, terminations, evaluations and record keeping. Staff helps department directors effectively manage the County’s human capital and to comply with new and existing legal requirements.  

The Human Resources Manager serves as the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Coordinator and staff assists citizens with Limited English Proficiency by coordinating the services of a translator, upon request.
